Florida Highway Patrol troopers say they made contact with 38 year old Jason Gignac of Summerfield on I-75 many times on Saturday. The shot went off while the two were fighting in the hospital room the suspect was being treated. The three officers involved in the struggle received minor injuries and FHP is investigating the incident.
