Inmates Found Dead at South Carolina Maximum-Security Prison

Bryan Stirling, the Director of the Department of Corrections told The Associated Press that the four inmates at South Carolina's Kirkland Correctional Institution were found Friday morning, dead in a dorm of the prison. Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has not yet released the identities of the inmates, or any other details. The inmates housed in the unit are considered the most risky and violent offenders sentenced in the state. Read More
