Upon arrival in Sarnath you will feel a very different atmosphere, an oasis of peace between the noisy cities of India. As you enter the park you can feel the energy emanating from the place, in each one of the monuments that are still there it is easy to be transported and to imagine the teachings of Buddha.- A return to the Stupa Dhamek, in complete respect, and since the sensation becomes different, there are squirrels entering and exiting some parts of the stupa and birds with their niditos surely inside, because it is possible to visualize as they enter by small holes.
Sitting barefoot in front of this great Stupa, I connect my heart with all that energy of the place, with the energy and etheric record of Buddha and his teachings to achieve enlightenment. The result…. Difficult to describe. A powerful energy began to radiate slowly, as if my body began to fade into light, the center of the chest, the solar plexus, seems to burn in an indescribable love fire, everything was light at that moment, a sensation of peace, harmony, LOVE , I flood my soul, and feel the presence of the great Master Buddha was in this experience to be few seconds in Nirvana. The tears ran down my face without realizing it, the cup had overflowed (and to what extent !!!) the sensation gave to stay there forever, but had to return to this experience. I opened my eyes and I felt so much gratitude for that gift, that I could not express to those who accompanied me what I had felt, it is not possible to describe in words of this experience a Love as infinite as the one we do not know ...Well, although I think I lose myself with the maelstrom of life, it's still there and that little illumination was the most beautiful gift I received. It did not matter that both batteries of my camera had finished (without a reason), a few photographs were enough for me, to remember that dream experience.
While traveling to Sarnath, Buddha had to cross the Ganges. Having no money to cross the river by boat, he crossed it through the air. When King Bimbisara heard this, he abolished the toll on the ship for all ascetics. When Buddha found his companions taught them, they learned and as a result they also achieved enlightenment. At that time the Sangha, the community of the enlightened, was founded. The sermon that the Buddha gave to the five monks was his first sermon, called the Dhammacakhappavattana Sutta. This sermon was given on the full moon day of Asalha. Later Buddha remained his first rainy season in Sarnath. The Sangha grew to 60 and Buddha sent them out, told him to travel and teach the Dharma.
There are chronicles who say that twelve thousand monks lived in Sarnath two centuries after Buddha's death. Then the city flourished, especially in Buddhist art and religion, thanks to the patronage of wealthy kings and merchants in neighboring Varanasi.

The Dhamek Stupa in Sarnath was built in 500 AD to replace an earlier structure commissioned by the great king Mauryan Ashoka in 249 BC, along with several other monuments, to commemorate the activities of the Buddha in this location. The Stupas originated circular mounds surrounded by large stones. King Ashoka built stupas to consecrate small pieces of calcined bone and other relics of the Buddha and his disciples. An Ashoka pillar with an edict engraved on it was placed near the site.
Considered a sacred place, it is recommended to dress with respect especially when visiting religious centers. It is typical to wander around certain sacred objects but you must always do it in the same direction as clockwise.
To tourists! remember this! respect ... in clothing, with photos, with places ... demonstrate their education and maintain respect ( since many do not).
