The much awaited Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL might just have been confirmed by Google itself. Assuming past leaks apply to this model, we may also see a dedicated Google Assistant key on this Chromebook, as well as an overall tweaked keyboard layout and a fingerprint sensor. So, you interact with the Pixel 2 by squeezing it. Overall, the design of the smartphone adheres very closely to what we saw with the Pixel and Pixel XL.
The LG-made Pixel 2 XL will come in a Black & White and Just Black color options. The source claims that it will be called Pixel 2 XL (not Pixel XL 2). It doesn't look like the jersey-based cloth the company used previous year, but we'll get the final answer sometime in October. We've also gotten details regarding the official pricing of the larger sibling of the Pixel series.
Then again, the Home Mini will only cost $49, and it will still come with the Google Assistant built-in. United States list pricing is reported at $US649 (64GB) and $US$749 (128GB), which after conversion and GST would suggest pricing around $890 and $1030 respectively.
Coming back to the Pixel 2 XL, it is rumoured to come with a 5.99-inch edge-to-edge 18:9 display, with slim bezels on top and bottom.
Google's event is also expected to showcase a new high-performance Chromebook Pixel. The hybrid laptop will mark the transition from Chromebook to Pixelbook devices, it seems, as the tech giant fully embraces the Pixel brand on its portable computer lineup too. The LG-made Pixel 2 XL will also hit the market in "Just Black", color variant and be available with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The "Pixelbook Pen" is a $99 stylus that is pressure sensitive and has tilt support. What's odd is that despite its high price, the Pixelbook won't ship with its stylus and users will have to purchase the Pixelbook Pen for an additional $99.
Unfortunately, no information was provided on the internals of the Daydream View 2 headset.
