If everything Microsoft said about their new console is true, then Xbox One players will be able to use their current copy of Titanfall 2 to play on the Xbox One X. Side note: the game is incredibly cheap.
On Tuesday, June 27, Respawn will release The War Games, the sixth free Titanfall 2 DLC drop since launch.
At EA Play, Respawn revealed that almost 20 million people have experienced either Titanfall or Titanfall 2, and "we're committed to the franchise and excited by the opportunities ahead of us". The first is an homage to the first game with a revitalized DLC map from the first Titanfall game with a brightly lit city for you to battle in. Another new map in the update, Traffic, is "a weathered test site" across two busy roads that is only available in the 6-on-6 Pilots-only Live Fire mode. Further, it features dense cover that makes every corner a threat, with room for snipers to chill in the background and enrage people.
With the maps offering new challenges for "Titanfall 2", players will need all the help they can get.
It is based in a simulator that Pilots use to train, with high-rise buildings in the centre surrounded by VR-styled outskirts meant for Titan combat. Respawn also confirmed the game will feature 4K resolution on the Xbox One X and support dynamic super scaling. The outskirts of the map feature a clean, VR style flawless for Titan duels, while Pilots are often found running along the bright, interconnected wallrunning routs. Finally, the most curious change pilots will give you three slots for weapons.
There will also be a new Pilot Execution called "Shadow Boxing" added to the mix, but it will take 20 Pilots kills with a holo pilot ability active in order to unlock that beast. Previously, players had to choose between either a pistol or an anti-titan weapon as their secondary slot.
