Tuesday's First Warning Forecast: A break from the heat but more rain

Highs will return to the mid-80s on Thursday, and a thunderstorm chance will come back as well.

Tuesday features a 50 percent chance for showers and storms, partly sunny skies, a high near 72 and northwest winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour. The 2017 total rose to 18.86 inches, 4.3 inches above normal. Up to three-quarters an inch of rain possible throughout the day.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9 a.m.

With the front still stalled over the region, scattered showers and storms will continue for Wednesday.

Eastern Cape: Cloudy and cold, but very cold in places on the high-ground. It will feel comfortable tonight with lows in the upper 60s and skies are partly cloudy. The high will be 84.

Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Monday: Partly cloudy with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms by late afternoon, some storms will contain heavy rain and gusty winds (a few storms could be severe) highs lower 90s. Mostly cloudy with a low around 69. Southeast wind around 5 miles per hour. The high will be near 88 after a morning low of 68.

There is a also chance of thunderstorms Tuesday through Friday, and on Sunday.

Sunday. A 20 percent chance of showers.

Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies and mild temperatures will develop, with a low of 60 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Friday night - A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low: 78. High: 93. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Thursday night, expect a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m., according to the weather service.
