Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017, otherwise known as E3 kicked off with fantastic fanfare this year with lots big names taking the stage to unveil their work over the years.
Ubisoft had "a top-notch release slate that combines corporate and creative courage", van Dreunen told MCV. There's also an outside chance we'll get a look at the delightfully wacky Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, which Ubisoft is working on in conjunction with Nintendo.
The show opened with gameplay footage for the recently announced Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, a franchise crossover with some tactical RPG elements and familiar characters in its roster. It also suggests that Nintendo may be willing to consider more collaborations in the future.
With Ubisoft's presentation over, only two video game giants remain to reveal what they brought to E3: Sony and Nintendo.
Then there's Prince of Persia, which hasn't released a main game since 2010's The Forgotten Sands, which was met with a fairly lukewarm reception from fans and critics alike.
The sequel to the not-so-well received motorsports game is here, this time taking it all "way beyond driving". Skull & Bones, a pirate-themed PvP naval combat title was also shown with both cinematic and gameplay trailers. Chalk this one up as another Nintendo Switch exclusive that we need to play. Far Cry 5 is set to launch on February 28th, 2018, and will be available on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.
Ubisoft Annecy Studio Director Rebecka Coutaz announced a new expansion for Steep.
Inside, players were welcomed to Hope County, Montana in Far Cry 5 where they faced off against the villainous religious cult, the Project at Eden's Gate.
This last reveal stole the show. And, let's be honest, closing with something like Beyond Good & Evil 2 left everyone reeling.
The Ubisoft conference ended with a cinematic trailer of Beyond Good and Evil 2. Below you'll find every trailer that Ubisoft showed at their conference today.
