White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer continued to repeat the same answers on Monday when reporters repeatedly questioned him about specifics regarding the "tapes" President Donald Trump suggested he had of conversations with former FBI Director James Comey.
Ms Guilfoyle, a TV personality who co-hosts The Five, said she thought it would be both a "fascinating" and "challenging" job which would require the input of someone who was both committed and concentrated.
"I'm a patriot, and it would be an honor to serve the country", she said.
I think I made it clear last week that the president has nothing further on that.
At Friday afternoon's White House press briefing, press secretary Sean Spicer did not rule out the possibility of their cancellation. But with Trump as president and Spicer as his press secretary, it is all anger, madness and lies.
While Trump yells about "fake news", in interviews and on Twitter, he truly has a love/hate relationship with the press, and wishes they would give him better coverage.
White House officials recently told the New York Times that Trump was considering cutting ties with Spicer, among other top officials.
"Kimberly is a valued member of the FOX News primetime lineup, and is under a long term contract with the network", a network spokesperson said.
On this week's show, he said, the cast made light of Trump's interview with Lester Holt, his lawyers' admission that he has no business dealings with Russian Federation "with a few exceptions" and Sean Spicer's combative press briefings.
Following a week in politics that left Washington reeling over the ouster of Federal Bureau of Investigation chief James Comey, rumors abound that the Sunday shows struggled to find any White House staff willing to speak for Donald Trump. The president also blamed the Democrats and the media for obstructing his agenda, said they were only focused on stories that make him look bad. "At the same time, life is exciting and it's about different chapters in your life, so I'm excited about the future".
