Trump not to relocate United States embassy in Israel visit

So the question of US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel has always been decided and the relocation of the embassy is way overdue.

The requests by US intelligence officials cast doubt on the assertion by the president's aides that the sharing was appropriate.

Contrary to the USA official's claim about the Western Wall, David Friedman, the newly appointed US ambassador to Israel, is heading straight to the holy site from the airport in order to pray, asserting that the wall is undisputedly Israel's. But my opinion is one of many.

In response to a query about the Bloomberg report, a White House official told CBN News: "We're just not announcing anything regarding the embassy now or on the trip".

On the latter point, the president is being told by some that USA policy has always been that the resolution of Jerusalem sovereignty issues are properly matters for Israel and Arab (now Palestinian) negotiators and that unilaterally moving the American embassy to the place Israel designates as its capital would be a US acknowledgement of Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem, which would keep the Palestinians away from any US -sponsored negotiations.

"The conversation dealt with a few issues that needed to be concluded regarding President Trump's visit to Israel", an anonymous senior official told Haaretz, who said the two leaders did not discuss the Russian Federation intelligence leak.

Israel captured east Jerusalem, including the Old City, in the 1967 Mideast war, along with the West Bank and Gaza.

It said the attacker entered Israel on a tourist visa and the officer shot the attacker in self-defense. Past presidents have put off moving the embassy or even recognizing Israel's capital, for fear that doing so would incite Muslim nations throughout the region.

CNN reported on Tuesday it withheld reporting on the intelligence that led to the laptop ban after USA intelligence officials made urgent requests to hold off for a March 31 story, citing national security concerns.

However, a series of experts and former intelligence officials have indicated the incident will have done real damage to the intelligence-sharing relationship between the two allies.

But despite multiple setbacks and the overall atmosphere of tumult, Netanyahu and Israeli officials are determined to make the visit work.

Also, US representatives in Jerusalem reportedly angered the Israelis by turning down a request to have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tag along. McMaster sidestepped the question.

Trump confirmed later he shared information with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The 20-minute call, said to have occurred around 5 pm Israel time, followed Trump's call with King Abdullah of Jordan.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was also asked about the report.

An arms deal is to be announced during Trump's trip in which Saudi Arabia will purchase $100 billion in USA arms, the official said.
