Mourinho: Arsenal Lucky Vs United; Europa Trophy Better Than Top Four

Manchester United appeared to have no fresh fitness concerns as they trained on Wednesday ahead of the Europa League semi-final second leg against Celta Vigo.

He has been linked with a big money move to China, while there has also been talk regarding a potential return to boyhood club Everton if he is to remain in the Premier League.

It felt like a veterans game but if Martin and I were playing each other now, there would have been more sparks flying than there were at the Emirates.

"They were walking the streets with their heads low".

"We didn't get the win, which is a disappointment, but I'm chuffed personally". Arsene Wenger is not a small manager, he is a big manager so to have that record of winning so many matches and losing so many matches is something that is not normal.

United are now fifth in the Premier League, while Arsenal are two points behind the Red Devils with a game in hand. So finally today they sing, they wave their scarves.

The pressure is on them for Thursday, when Celta Vigo come to Old Trafford, and it is a unsafe game to play, but I think Mourinho did the right thing with his team selection against the Gunners. "We will try to win our remaining games and maybe we are in the top four". I'm happy for Danny as well.

Michael Carrick is "desperate" to end the season - and perhaps his Manchester United career - with Europa League glory.

"Of course you want to play every game". I think he did an wonderful job and I think Alexis [Sanchez] knows his name because the kid played very well.

"I grew up there and it's a special place in my life, but once we get on that pitch it's just business at the end of the day", he told Sky Sports.

"We have a really important chance to play [in the] Champions League through the Europa League but in the Premier League anything can happen".

The closest Wenger had previously come to beating Mourinho was in December 2006 when Michael Essien scored an 84th minute equaliser for Chelsea in a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

The experienced midfielder fondly recalled home Champions League wins against Barcelona and Roma and clearly believes United will soon be back at European's top table under Mourinho.

Downplaying his rivalry with Mourinho, Wenger said: "It is not manager against manager".
