This device, just like previous Echo devices can control your smart home with your voice commands.
After some extensive leaks around the device in last one week, Amazon has now officially launched the Echo product with a front camera and touchscreen display.
As with most Amazon products, the Show also works best within the company's ecosystem.
Headline new features include the ability to act as a digital photo frame, which pulls any pictures stored on a user's Prime Photos account, showing a song's lyrics on screen when a track is playing played with Amazon Music, relaying video feeds from any connected security cameras, and in what will be the biggest sell, access to video and voice calls.
The Amazon Echo Show was revealed today for $230 Dollars and with all the fancy features of voice assistant Alexa and more. The camera-equipped Echo Look uses artificial intelligence to help users pick out their outfits daily.
Amazon has also added an 8th microphone. Much like the iPod device in the film Her, Echo Show can now "show you things", hands free with the 7-inch touchscreen with an undefined resolution. Its price tag will reflect this distinction, with The Wall Street Journal claiming that the new Amazon Echo will be sold for more than $200.
Amazon employees have reportedly been testing the new Amazon Echo for several months.
If you aren't ready to upgrade to an Echo Show, voice calling features will be rolling out to the full Echo lineup soon. The company then followed it by introducing the smaller Amazon Echo Dot, called the Echo Tap. Alexa has since expanded to more smart speakers, tablets, and phones.
