Three Hoboken Easter egg hunts this Saturday

Carrying baskets and bags, hundreds of children were ready to collect as much candy as they could.

With Easter weekend approaching, kids are scouring the valley for Easter eggs filled with candy and toys, but kids arent the only ones taking part in the Easter fun. This popular event is for middle school age children (age 11-13). A hunt for 2-year-olds was held earlier in the afternoon when the youngest could walk away with their own haul of goodies.

"Regency Chrysler is donating the two bicycles - one for each age group - and we have had several other local businesses coming forward with prize donations, making this an exciting event once again". Bring a camera to take photos of children with the Easter Bunny.

Pioneers, a community service group, hosted its annual Easter egg hunt for visually-impaired kids at the Wesley Homes Retirement Community on Saturday.

Shawnee Community College near Ullin plans to host an annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday. "The mall likes to have a petting zoo to go along with the egg hunt every year".

On Saturday, 24 seniors gathered at the Whitefish Community Center for a morning of hunting for Easter eggs and other egg-related games to compete for prizes.

Parents with children 4 years old and under started lining up at the play area on one end of the mall, while older children gathered at the food court. Bring your flashlight and something to collect your eggs in.

First Christian Church will also be hosting their vacation bible school July 17th-21st this year. The activities are April 8th and begin at 9:45 a.m., 10 a.m., and a Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt starts at 8 p.m. A free pancake and sausage breakfast will take place at the church, 1197 S. USA 33, from 8-10 a.m. "He's going to make out well because he'll be gathering Easter eggs next Sunday".
