Actual sales of both the phones will start from May 5. The release date of both the models in India is 5 May.

In case you haven't read our launch story where we had detailed the spec sheet of both the handsets, here is a brief lowdown of the same. It will be available online exclusively via Flipkart and through Samsung's India store.
The Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch display screen, while the Galaxy S8+ has a 6.2-inch screen. Both the handsets do not have bezels on the sides. The Infinity Display, battery life, and camera are some of the aspects Samsung India has highlighted at the event.
As for hardware, both the handsets feature Samsung's in-house Exynos 8895 SoC's in India as opposed to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC on some global versions. It has a 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal storage which can be expandable upto 256 GB.
There will also be 3x optical zoom according to Kuo's latest research note, in which he also claims the "Note 8's dual-camera will be much better than that of iPhone 7 Plus, and likely match that of OLED iPhone". The Galaxy S8+ is simply a larger Galaxy S8 with a bigger battery.
Samsung Galaxy S8+ gets a 12 MP rear camera with Dual Pixel technology, OIS and f/1.7 aperture.
With no physical home button to house the finger print sensor, Samsung placed it at the back of the device right next to the camera module. There is also an iris scanner thrown in for added security. Both the smartphones run on Android 7.0 Nougat with Samsung's own custom UI on top. Further, Bixby will also be there inside the camera for you to identify various things, places and also buy some of the stuff from Amazon. Apart from this, Samsung has also partnered with Reliance Jio to roll out "Double Data Offer" for a monthly recharge of Rs 309 where users will 56GB of 4G data along with free calls and SMS per month which makes it 448GB for 8 months. Meanwhile, The e-commerce website, Flipkart had earlier put out a teaser poster for the launch of the phone in the country, on their website.
