The singer and TV personality is divorcing Stephen Belafonte, her husband of nearly 10 years, citing irreconcilable differences.
Court records show singer and television personality Mel B has filed for divorce from her husband of almost 10 years.
The former Spice Girl has reportedly made a decision to end her marriage with the 41-year-old film producer at the end of last year.
In the divorce papers, Mel B reportedly listed the date of the couple's separation as December 28. Fans are surprised to hear the couple splitting after seeing the 41-year-old singer post to Instagram to gush about her now-ex.
The Spice Girl married Hollywood producer Stephen Belafonte after a five-month whirlwind romance in 2007. News say Mel called off the relationship citing "irreconcilable differences" and is requesting for spousal support to Stephen to be terminated.
They have a 5-year-old daughter together and Brown is seeking joint custody.
The Spice Girl then emotionally adds, 'You loved me before I even new how to really love myself'.
Mel writes, 'It is with great sadness after a 5yr battle to multiple myeloma cancer our loving father Martin Brown passed away age 63 peacefully yesterday'.
As well as Madison, she has a nine-year-old daughter, Angel, from her brief relationship with actor Eddie Murphy, and an 18-year-old daughter, Phoenix, from her first marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar.
