Dr. Orji was said to have jumped into the Third Mainland Bridge Lagoon along the Adekunle axis shortly after receiving a call.
It was gathered that the incident happened on the bridge between Adekunle and Adeniji on Third Mainland Bridge inward Lagos Island on Sunday evening.
As at 5:35pm on Monday, Orji's body has not still been found. Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, local divers, fishermen and others have been searching to retrieve the body of Orji from the water body.
"The vehicle and the driver have been taken to Adeniji Adele Poice Station for further investigation, while effort is on going to recover his body from the Lagoon", he added.
The image maker in charge if the state police command, Olarinde Famous- Cole could not be reached as at the time of filing this report for his reaction.
A co-staff of the medical doctor, Allwell Orji who jumped into the Lagos Lagoon on Sunday, said he showed no sign of depression when he was at work last Friday.
"The driver parked the vehicle, the doctor came down and immediately jumped into the Lagoon".
"The General Manager of LASEMA, Adesina Tiamiyu, said proper investigation would be conducted on the incident by the appropriate authorities".
She said she made a decision to harken to the call because it was repeated. She heard a voice calling out to her to come to the Third Mainland Bridge.
