Ryan Reynolds would rather do THIS than fly with his kids

Posted March 20, 2017

Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal attended the premiere of Life at the Zach Theatre during the 2017 SXSW Conference And Festivals yesterday (March 18, 2017) in Austin, Texas. "It gets very competitive between those two".

"My wife is very good at cooking, and Jake might just be a little bit better". Reynolds said Saturday that his co-star is "one the greatest actors of this generation". Reynolds married Lively in 2012, and shares two daughters, 2-year-old James and 5-month-old Ines, with the 29-year-old actress.

"I think he's easily the most interesting actor working in Hollywood today".

"Before I had kids, I was always like, 'God, that's hard.' You can see [the parents are] sweating and they're nervous because their kids are yelling and everyone's mad at them".

"There's just no time anymore, so you're hardened by it", he added. "I'm actually moving out right now, under this desk", Reynolds quipped.

The 36-year-old actor - who plays an astronaut in new sci-fi horror movie "Life" - is convinced that there is life on other planets and thinks the extra-terrestrial beings could even be living among us. "I think absolutely, there is no doubt in my mind - whether or not they're friendly or already here - I think there's a lot left to explore".

To all of my fellow readers who don't now have children, you have it straight from the horse's mouth - flying with children is exactly as painful as it looks.

And should I ever end up on the same flight as Ryan (doubt it, but you never know) - and he isn't flying with his kids - please, Ryan, feel free to swap seats with me like Jennifer Aniston did in that Emirates Airlines commercial.

Reynolds and Gyllenhaal play Roy Adams and David Johnson, two crew members aboard the International Space Spation, in Life.
