Nintendo Switch games load fastest from internal storage

Or you can always just wait for Nintendo to whip up more Nintendo Switch units-anyway, they're producing 16 million of those bad boys.

The Nintendo Switch has been unfortunately, but unsurprisingly hard to find since its release. It looks like the video game company is learning from their mistakes and upping production on the latter console.

Gamestop will not be taking reservations via phone or in person for these new Nintendo Switch units.

"Nintendo has seen strong demand for the Switch at launch with record-breaking sales for the company in both the USA and Europe", Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad told GamesBeat.

The Wall Street Journal reports that production plans in the new fiscal year will increase, with the suggestion that the pace in sales will soon match that achieved with the Wii. Things are looking pretty promising for Nintendo, as this number clearly indicates that Switch will definitely outsell the Wii U, which only sold 13.5 million over the course of four years.

The Nintendo Switch enjoyed a successful launch this month with over 1.5 million units sold in the first two weeks. Since then, they appear to have remained out of stock everywhere in the UK.

The process that Patsuann was able to document showed that there might already be a cloud save system in place for the Nintendo Switch, but only Nintendo now has access to it. And with blockbuster titles like Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey still slated to launch this year, demand for Switch will likely only grow stronger. Almost 89% of those Switch owners have also picked up copies of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

When the topic of cloud saves was brought up, Fils-Aime said that it would be great to have such a feature on the Nintendo Switch, and that gamers should "stay tuned".
