Kansas City woman dies after undergoing cosmetic procedure in Florida

Some reports in the New York Daily News indicated that Ms. Hall is the second woman in less than a year who died due to a Brazilian butt lift procedure at the same plastics surgery clinic in Miami.

"Unbelievable like it's not true".

Hall was rushed to Larkin Community Hospital, located just blocks away, where she died about an hour later.

Her mother Nicole Hall said her family had tried to talk her daughter out of getting the procedure.

Never knew that would be the last time I would hear from her'. This is a part of the statement released on behalf of Eres Plastic Surgery Center. I'm looking for answers'.

A law firm representing Eres said in a statement: 'Eres Plastic Surgery are deeply saddened by what has occurred and offer their thoughts and prayers during this hard time'.

Hall was at Hialeah's Eres Plastic Surgery to get cosmetic surgery when the incident occurred. "Dr. Calva is a highly skilled and caring surgeon that is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to his patients".

Eleven women have died after plastic surgery since 2010, with most of those deaths involving Brazilian Butt Lifts, NBC 6 reported.

At the time of Ms Meadows's death, the business was called Encore and was under different ownership.

Ranika Hall, a mother from Missouri, lost consciousness and died during surgery Thursday at Eres Plastic Surgery in Hialeah, Fla., the same location where 29-year-old Heather Meadows died during a Brazilian Butt Lift procedure in May 2016, the report said.

The procedure involved sucking out the fat from the other regions of the body and injecting it back into the buttock section. The procedure, however, increases the probability of a condition known as fat embolism in which fat enters the bloodstream of the patient and eventually causing their death. Reports state that Hall has left behind a one-year-old daughter and her grandparents are distraught because of her death.
