She added: "I can say, 'You know what, I'm for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well'". A self-described "constitutional conservative", Lahren is popular for her often controversial commentary on the right-wing site The Blaze. I'm someone that's for limited government.
TheBlaze founder Glenn Beck mocked the network's biggest star, Tomi Lahren, on Twitter after she mentioned having "moderate, conservative, and libertarian views" while defending recent pro-choice comments made during an appearance on "The View". Much like her outspoken commentary against liberal ideologies, Lahren had no trouble calling out those within her own party.
"Listen, I am not glorifying abortion".
And to think, all it took for Lahren to alienate herself from the only people who can stomach her was to say something half-way intelligent.
We'll see how long Lahren's position remains firm now that her fans have become her enemies.
However, the comment that set social media ablaze was her decision to be pro-choice. There's only tension between believing abortion should be legal-which is all being "pro-choice" means-and the Constitution's prescription of "life, liberty, and property" protection for all if you believe that personhood begins at conception.
There, she hosts a series of videos taking down liberal issues - she's called Black Lives Matter "the new KKK", vocalized strong support for Donald Trump and for gun rights. Still, Lahren told The Daily Caller a year ago that "I do have a faith and I do believe in religious freedom".
Until Friday's appearance on "The View", nobody would have ever accused Lahren for not being conservative enough. While Hasselbeck leans rightward, she supports abortion rights and same-sex marriage.
"If Kellyanne Conway had been a Democrat, you all at this table would have been applauding her, singing her praises".
