Huawei P10 Plus vs OnePlus 3T: which phone is better?

Posted March 19, 2017

As of this very moment, the P10 lite can be pre-ordered in the United Kingdom for £549 ($680)- a range very much expected from Huawei and one the P10 lite would fit into perfectly, while the P10 Plus will hit the shelves by the first week of April with a price tag of £649 ($804). All those who order the device will receive a gift box worth Euro 150, with a power bank, cigarette light charger, charger cable and selfie stick. It also comes with 6GB RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a MicroSD slot and a 3,750mAh battery. It will be available during pre-sales for Euro 659.99, although customers can also pay in installments (EUR 179.99 entry-fee + Euro 20 x 24 months).

Fingerprint scanner: Like its older brothers, the P10 lite also sports a fingerprint scanner on its back panel.

The Huawei P10 will be available in Ireland in Graphite Black and Mystic Silver from mid-March via online pre-registration with an exclusive Huawei Accessory Gift Box worth €149.99 - which includes selfie stick and tripod - in all major channels.

Huawei P10 builds on the foundation laid by Huawei P9, yet altogether reconditions parts of the hardware, which tech observers believe is making the device an odd one.

As a routine, it has now launched the third variant of the series called Huawei P10 Lite which is available for pre-order in selected European markets. The P10 Lite has just a single-lens 12MP rear camera for example, where the P10 has a dual-lens snapper.

Both phones have a Leica-branded dual camera system which consists of a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, as well as a 12-megapixel sensor for colours.

The Huawei P10 Lite will cost around $370 and will be released on April 11. The camera tester also says that in terms of video, the P10 offers good dynamic range and "excellent detail preservation". Meanwhile the 8MP front camera with portrait mode enhances every selfie by creating a bokeh effect in the background. In Italy, one retailer priced an unlocked and SIM-free model of the Huawei P10 Lite at €349, roughly $379 going by today's exchange rate, according to The Verge. The device hosts Android Nougat with the newest EMUI 5.1 software.

When it comes to specs, the P10 Lite boasts of a 5.2-inch FHD 1080p display and makes use of an in-house Kirin 655 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage.

Powering it all is a 3,000 mAh battery that's capable of 18 W fast charging, which is pretty impressive for a phone that's under the midrange category.

However, the fingerprint sensor is moved to the front, which breaks the company's tradition of positioning it on the back, SCMP reported. Those in the United Kingdom can preorder it now on Vodafone, EE and Carphone Warehouse.
