Cooler weather, but still a mild and nice day Monday

Posted February 21, 2017

We are looking at some rain late in the day Monday lasting into early Tuesday morning. Highs reach 75° to round out the weekend.

We will see a few extra clouds overnight as lows dip into the mid-to-lower 30s with light winds.

And if you're a big fan of this winter warm up, you'll enjoy Sunday, too - pushing 60°! Yes, a cold front is indeed bringing cooler air to the Garden State. Cloudy skies overnight will help keep temperatures from falling much overnight so Sunday morning lows should be in the mid to upper 60s.

Monday will be mostly sunny and warm with temperatures topping out in the upper 60s to near 70°, which is about 20° above average for this time of year! Unfortunately for those along the lake it was all little cooler in spots with temperatures around 50. Highs will be in the middle 60s.

Look for clearing quickly into Tuesday and the rest of the week with mostly sunny skies expected.

The cooler stretch doesn't last long.

FIRST ALERT: You will likely see rain during the morning drive with possibly a few thunderstorms during the afternoon. Again, we're not expecting severe weather. Now this Presidents' Day Monday continues the spring-like feel but temperatures will not come close to records.
