Stephen Colbert Says Trump's Senior Policy Advisor Must Come on His Show

During Late Night's "Closer Look" segment on Thursday, Seth Meyers broke down the events of the day, even shredding the night's old script which was written before the news conference, but then Trump held a "batshit insane press conference that rendered this script completely meaningless", Meyers explained.

They all agreed Thursday night that the 45th president's first solo press conference that day was a spectacle worthy of much comment. "Trump sounds like a guy who's being told there's a nude scene in a movie he's definitely already watched", he said.

Last year, Colbert's ratings were low enough that CBS went on record to deny rumors that it was planning to move James Corden, host of "The Late Late Show", into Colbert's job.

Oh yeah, here's Stephen Colbert's monologue about the Donald Trump press conference.

Gold said Fallon may surpass Colbert once again, but the former "Colbert Report" host is certainly seeing an uptick.

"I wouldn't say Fallon is now dethroned". "With friends like that, who needs Fox & Friends?" he asked.

"It's racist to assume all black people know each other", Meyers said.

Colbert has consistently slammed the Trump administration and Monday mocked Stephen Miller, the president's senior adviser, and called him a liar. "You don't know all orange people".

"We just learned from multiple intelligence sources that Trump aides were in 'constant touch' with senior Russian officials during the campaign", Colbert announced. "Hey Donald, can you set up a meeting with Snookie and the Lorax?"
